Justin
After exceeding 18 psi a few times now it is time to fit the restrictor plate. I hope I don't notice too much drop in acceleration. Still, better than running with two blown turbos. I would probably notice that drop in acceleration and the gaping whole in my wallet to fix em. :flame Dev
Adam Kindness
very true..... my sup is enjoying a winter rest.... forced
Syed Shah
You wont feel any power loss since the turbos are not making any more power at 21psi than at 18psi. Nice to know your getting it fixed.

Branners
They might be out of their efficiency range, but at 21psi I know mine were giving more power than a car at 18psi. It didnt actually do them any good, and I should also add I had a FMIC fitted which would have helped with cooling, but running above 18psi is possibly on stock turbos. My 12.9 at Pod is still to be beaten by a car on stock turbos as far as I know..... JB
paulrenn
If you run too much boost, then you're just injecting super-heated air into the engine...and thus losing power...every turbo has a point at which running additional boost does more harm than good. Dunno what the stock Supra's limit is though, but I'll go with the general consensus on this one, 18PSI is plenty of boost
Justin
OK I have fitted it. Just took it for a test run (uphill too) and only managed to max out at 15.8psi I am very much noticing the difference I will take it out for a few more blasts but feel I may have to ask CW if he'll take a couple of mm off the diameter to get it closer to 18. Guest DUNK
similar discussion in another thread but i will vouch for the fact that it produces noticable more power at 21psi.........
Matt Harwood
I'll go along with the 21 psi giving more power too. I fitted my restrictor plate and the boost went down to about 15 psi too. I'm lucky enough to have a boost controller to put it back up to 18ish when I need it.

JB gotta agree with John, maybe it's a "UK" Stock turbo thing. I run two settings, 18PSI and 21 PSI, I notice a real difference between the two. cheers Neil
