Unfortunate enough to be on M6 yesterday?

Coming back from a week's break on the south west coast back to Cumbria I travelled up the M6.

Noticed there was tail back after tail back on the southbound direction.... 1st around Birmingham area, looked like at least 15mile!..... 2nd around Crewe area...this was another big one about 20miles!!!!

And then generally smaller areas of standing motorway traffic.

 

Looks like the motorway system is well beyond full capacity.

 

But a lot of it is down to retards who do not understand the simple rule of only using lanes 2 and 3 when you need to overtake traffic in lane 1 and 2.

Countless times I had to flash lights at traffic who were lane hogging.

Oh, and the hard shoulder remained closed to traffic, which could have easily been used I would have thought.

 

I am glad I live in the area that I do because I would not be able to live with conjestion like that.

 

 

 

(side note : only saw 2 Supras during the whole week... makes them much rarer than the other sportscars I saw, such as 8 or 9 Audis R8s, at least 5 Ferraris, well over 10 Aston Martins etc.)
