Battery in boot -- Secure?

you mean its just floating arround in the boot at the moment?

 

Its in a battery box and due to the weight and it looks like its screwed into the board under the carpet, just wondering is there a better solution to secure it better

 

At the moment its secure enough to stay where it is but it could be secured better

It'd definetly be a good ide to use a couple of brackets and bolt it to the boot floor. It shouldn't be able to pass the MOT unless it is properly secured.

 

It depends on the battery size and if you have the spare wheel, but normally they are bolted to the passenger side in the spare wheel well. Obviously take car when drilling through due to the fuel lines and tank (probably stating the obvious here :D )
