Jellybean
you mean its just floating arround in the boot at the moment? Its in a battery box and due to the weight and it looks like its screwed into the board under the carpet, just wondering is there a better solution to secure it better At the moment its secure enough to stay where it is but it could be secured better
Homer
It'd definetly be a good ide to use a couple of brackets and bolt it to the boot floor. It shouldn't be able to pass the MOT unless it is properly secured. It depends on the battery size and if you have the spare wheel, but normally they are bolted to the passenger side in the spare wheel well. Obviously take car when drilling through due to the fuel lines and tank (probably stating the obvious here ) This is how dude had his mounted:
paul mac
for your safety the battery must be bolted down securely, god forbid but what if you have a serious crash or roll the car that battery flying around could kill someone
