Tee from China
I've found a couple of nice(but expensive)Supras for sale in Japan both black with low mileages of 3.4/3.5kms the 02 one looks a little strange with the red TRD wheel though, whereas the 98 has Recaros and a factory CF wheel.....lush http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU0004342204/index.html http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU0004287798/index.html

DSK
I notice the first one says 280 bhp thought tts were around 320 ! Jap spec cars are around 280bhp, less than the Euro spec cars.
Branners
Jap spec cars are around 280bhp, less than the Euro spec cars. They were rated at 280bhp, but a more realistic figure seems to be around 305-310bhp. Japanese gentlemans agreement said their cars should not exceed 280bhp, so they officially didnt... Aero-M
Jap spec cars are around 280bhp, less than the Euro spec cars. They are 320, It was the gentelmans agreement or something like that to say 280bhp.
DSK
Thats news to me then as I assumed they tuned them down a touch with the smaller fuel injectors etc.
jihwaan
there was (dont know if it still apply's) a legislation in japan that production cars in this class would not exceed 280, but it wasnt "enforced", put simply car makers like toyota could produce cars with higher HP but they had to 'rate' them at the 280 figure on the spec sheets / paperwork..
