sprag5
its a standard front bumper on my supra, someone has reversed into it and the bottem has split in half so needs a product that can fill in the gap and also hold the bumper together in the middle thanks supraloopy
Scott
Are the stock bumpers not plastic? Is it just a crack? Plastic welding maybe?

sprag5
it might sound like a stupied question but i have no idea. where would i get fibreglass from and it there any certain make that would be best to use?
SUPRALOOPY
Any pics? At a guess I'd say try and heat weld it (if you can) If not then use a small alloy plate pop riveted to the back of the crack for strengh, then use a good filler to smooth the crack out, make sure you V the crack open to let the filler bind and make a good repair. Thats a start anyway. Good luck. Dave.
Scott
This is sounding less and less like something you should be doing yourself.

Scott
i no haha but i think i might give it a go, i wont learn unless i try thanks dave will give that a go first I'm all for giving it a go bud, i did the same with my MR2, but get someone who knows what they are doing to show you the ropes. I took on quite a big task with the MR2, with a little help, and it all came out great. If i didn't have someone showing me the basics it would have been a disaster. Make sure, if you are using filler, to re-inforce the split, as per supraloopy's suggestion. This is absolutely vital if you don't want it to crack after the first mile. Chris Wilson
The stock bumper is made of a flexible material, if it's not too badly split a specialist may be able to plastic weld it. If it's bad it's scrap though!
