Guest youngin_f_l
I've got my '93 NA, and happy with...so far, I'm having a few problems, I get the master warning light on, when I'm driving sometimes, but I havent got any lights on the right hand side, or on the left hand side light ups, checked all the bulbs in both last night, and all of them seem to be ok, not blown or anything, so I don't know why they arent lighting up, so I've got an error somewhere.....but I dont know where help
michael
How's your brake fluid level? Topped right up?
stevie_b
How have you checked the bulbs? Do they come on when the ignition is at position 2? Apart from as a handbrake indicator, I didn't know that the MIL (!) light could come on without the engine management light (orange engine symbol) coming on as well. Fitz
As Michael says, check your Brake Fluid level. Friend of mine had the same scenario.

Animal
As said - do the lights on the right hand cluster light up when you turn the ignition on? The circuit boards are known for getting dry joints. Do a search on here, it's an easy enough thing to fix.
stevie_b
its used as a generic warning light in the supra for alot of faults Even without the orange engine light on the RHS of the dahboard? The reason I'm trying to figure out if that engne light bulb definitely works is that the OP could use it to pull error codes from the ECU if it does. Guest youngin_f_l
To be brutally honest, I've never even noticed if they light up on ignition position 2, I will have a look at it, although my cousin did say they were lit up the other day after he had the dash to bits

stevie_b
the engine warning check light should light up when the ignition is turned on but engine off.... im not sure how to pull codes from a mkiv, but your right is some one does tell him how to pull the codes maybe that would tell him, i still say check your brakes It's very easy to pull error codes from a mkIV... as long as that orange engine symbol light works! It's this light that flashes in sequence to tell you what error(s) the ECU has stored, so no light, no visible error codes. If you want to know how to do it, there should be a sticky on here somewhere about it (edit: just click "error codes"). If not, search for "paperclip": it's all you'll need, plus 2 minutes of your time.
