clarky666
Hi folks, Hopefully you can help! I have been looking to get a set of 20mm spacers to help my new wheels clear UK brakes. Now i've managed to get a set of decent hubcentric ones as a favour from a mate but i believe they have came off a Skyline previously so wasn't sure how they'd line up. Have had a look today matching it against the wheel hub and it all matches up for stud size and the rest except the centre bore is a lot bigger than the hub itself. Not knowing a great deal about these but common sense tells me this is obviously defeating the purpose of having the centre bit sit on flush as it's designed to and if i fitted them as it were then all the pressure, etc would be directly onto the wheel studs which i'm assuming will end in tears. Question i was wanting is would it be ok to purchase some good quality spigot rings to bridge the gab between the hub and the spacer. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260419147966 I was looking at these, if suitable? See there are cheaper rings that are non-metal for around a tenner but don't want to be cheap. I measured the spacers today and it looked around 73mm and from reading on here i see the Supra hub is 60.1mm. Thanks! pedrosixfour
Its not the ideal situation obviously but from what I can figure and if you have done the maths correctly then it should be a success. Just be sure that everything fits as snugly as possible and that the outer section of the spigot ring sits flush with the 20mm spacer leaving ONLY the 60mm ring proud of the spacer. Wez
http://www.coordsport.com/contact-us.htm sell 60.1 to 73mm metal spigot rings as I recently purchased a set for my Gram Light wheels. I would personally bin the spacers and wheels and get some that fit properly
clarky666
Thanks for the advice guys. I did some more fiddling about today and it looks like it will actually work. However wasn't 100% sure so got some H+R hubcentric spacers of the correct size for peace of mind.
