Guest Nickamsweet
Hey, tried removing my friends supra front shock and it's a pain in the butt!! As many of you guys know!! Just wandering how the hell you maneuver the shock out?? I got the end links off (connected to the anti roll bar) and undo the top bolts and bottom bolt and pried it as far down as possible, but it just doesn't seem enough to get the thing apart... Starting to pull my hair out!! Do you need to lower the bottom arm and then push the bottom of the shock towards the engine and then pull the top of the shock out the strut tower and remove?? Any tips so so so appreciatedd... oh god please help me lol
mark newman
i know this isnt the proper way but how i done it was to stand on the front hub so obviously it all went down abit then my son managed to maneuver it out.
Homer
Normally a pry bar is enough to move it out the way. Have you compressed the spring? If that's not an option remove the long bolt form the upper wishbone, it'll free it up for removal.
