stevie_b
Raven, if it's just your aerial that's b*ggered, then you can buy a new mast from Toyota without needing a new motor too. Not as cheap as Jamie's, but cheaper than a new motor.
martini
How can one tell if it's the aerial or the motor?
stevie_b
Take the motor apart: if the nylon belt is in pieces inside the motor, then chances are all you'll need is a new mast (it comes with a nylon belt up the middle). If the nylon belt looks fine, then it *could* be the motor that's at fault, or any other part of the aerial system (e.g. relay on top of the head unit, wiring, etc).
