JustGav
woah. thats unfortunate. Looking at it i would have thaught the helmet would have taken that. doesnt look to be a huge impact. The helmet may well be able to take the impact, but remember the impact forces would be transferred to his neck...

Gaz6002
Heard this earlier on. RIP indeed. Having fractured neck bones myself in a high speed accident I can barely watch the vid.
Kearney
Thats terrible and he's so young. What exactly was the cause of death? head injury or neck break?
Gaz6002
Thats terrible and he's so young. What exactly was the cause of death? head injury or neck break? I doubt the head suffered much because of the technology involved helmet design, but I also reckon the restriction of movement created by the HANS device wouldn't have helped a huge amount. I'm not saying they're bad - in fact, I think they're revolutionary - but this is a freak accident.
martini
this is a freak accident. Certainly is. It's like "Final Destination" or something.

merckx
You would of thought that there would be very little room for the head to go backward and to cause fatal injuries.
AlexJames
RIP dude sad loss... would i be right in thinking it would of been a pretty instant death?
martini
You would of thought that there would be very little room for the head to go backward and to cause fatal injuries. True, but getting a wheel to the head whilst doing any speed at all would be extremely dangerous - the forces on his neck/head must have been huge at the point of impact. RIP dude sad loss... would i be right in thinking it would of been a pretty instant death? It seems that way in the footage, but he was knocked unconscious instantly, and died later in hospital. Chris Wilson
What terrible luck, he was a charming fellow, by all accounts. Very sad, especially for someone to see fit to up footage for every ghoul and his dog to watch.

dr_jekyll
thats terrible. at that speed a few hundreds of a second either way would have made alll the difference , a moments traction loss out of the previous corner and the wheel would have missed. i think some things are ment to be and nothing can change it. still atleast he went doing something he loved . R.I.P fella
