tomssupra
Hi, I've just installed HID in the main beam, how do you get it in the low beam too? Thanks,
tony tt
You will need a seperate set of hids on the low beams too would you not? I was thinking of hids for my main beam but decided against it because of the warm up time on them.

Even during their warm up time, the brightness still exceeds a normal bulb's output.
Kirk
yes and then once you have them in you end up with the onimous floating triangle that points into the sky and blinds the SHIT out of drivers coming toward you... needless to say i hate PnP kits

Kirk
doesnt matter how you do it you will never match original equipment designed for the job PnP Retro using s2000 projectors Edited July 19, 2009 by Kirk (see edit history)
SteveR
Not sure what I'm looking at there. I did my own PnP swapover on the dipped beam on my last Supra, current one has them fitted for dipped and main, and I won't ever go back to being without HIDs. The beam aim was the same before/after, the HIDs added more light, and a whiter (more useable) light and an even crsiper cutoff.
Kirk
well the top pic is the light output and beam pattern of a PnP kit and the bottom pic is of a s2000 projector retrofit output and cutoff and the PnP together.. This is the output of s2000 projecters on there own Im just loyal to retros what can i say

Kirk
hence why im loyal to only doing it that way, only limiting factor is trying to get some projecters on the cheap but definatly worth the extra effort for far better gains. You realy have to see them in person to realy appriciate them
