boost controller issues: overboost

Hey people, really need some advice from someone who knows the supra turbo system well... im pretty lost!

Basically I plumbed in a gizzmo boost controller yesterday... took my time about it and followed all the instructions I could gather from various sources. My understanding of how I wired it is this: I removed the hose from the front of the wastegate actuator to the right hand side of the actuator VSV, and the hose from the left side of the VSV up to the metal pipe that runs across the left side of the spark plug cover. I then removed the hose from the top of the wastegate actuator to the turbo body (i.e. pressure source?) and ran a new hose from the turbo body to the INPUT of the solenoid and a hose from the OUTPUT back to the wastegate actuator.

My problem is that on my first test run, with Duty cycle set at its lowest setting, the boost is way wayy too high, I was very gentle on the throttle to start with but when I gave it some the boost went way up over 1.4 bar momentarily, obviously I was straight of the gas at that point but peak recall on the boost gauge read just under 1.5 bar :search:

I've double checked the hoses are going into the right ports on the solenoid so I cannot see where ive gone wrong? It does say on the instruction to plug up the pipes where hoses have been removed, but I dont have anything to plug them with yet so i have just left them, could that be the issue? Any help would be very greatfully received :)

which ports did you block off? not the one in the engine bay? you should (if its like mine) have 3 pipes 2 that you plum your actuator into and the other one to bleed off the pressure. if you close up that hole it can't bleed off the pressure which will be the reason for the stock boost.

just trying to fully understand the situation :) try posting some pics of your setup and we can take a looksie :D

I blocked off the front pipe of the wastegate actuator, where I removed the hose from there to the VSV and also the metal pipe running the length of the left side of the spark plug cover, i.e. where the hose went from the other side of the VSV. hope that makes sense.
