GeordieSteve
What did you start as 6 years ago?? Started as web developer but them moved on to engineer within about 6 month (I was crap!) lol to be fair we only have about 40 users in our company so it's hardly the most taxing job in the world. Luckily... got rid of NT4 just before xmas (the server died somehow ) and got myself a new 2003 box

roboldham
I went to Uni and would highly recommend it to anyone just because of the personal development and the ideas it gives you the time to develop - as well as the people you meet. I worked a year out before Uni at the company that sponsored me to go to Uni as well as during the summer vacs. Often working straight out of the box means you dont get the time to discover skills or passions you can otherwise do during early years at Uni (if you want to) - mind you this was 15 years ago when there was a good grant :-) R
