JustGav
Well, you can't really argue with it.. The crime was serious enough and their laws say 'death penalty'. The one advantage with this is that people get to visibly see the results of crime.
Charlotte
How very sad.

Chris Wilson
The only sad thing is it's not part of OUR legal system. Bring back capital punishment! The birch. Flogging. The work house. Social rejection for single mothers, oooh I am feeling funny, where are my damned pills.....?
Chris Wilson
It's just a shame he wasn't sodomised with a cactus full of chile powder first. The eloquence, the imagery, and, oh, the pain
grahamc
He took a young life so I see the punishment as fair. No... he did worse! The child now has to live with that for the rest of his life, I cannot even imagine how much that would F*** you up! I say justice.... I say justice.... I dont think he is living with it This is criminal justice, Yemen style. A man accused of raping and murdering an 11-year-old boy is paraded through his home town before being shot dead by an executioner.
dr_jekyll
that punishment is to fast if you ask me , they should have wood planed his shins first and allowd people to be creative with him !
Homer
The video is on the ync. They shot him in the back of the neck first, he moved around a bit, then soon afterwards shot him twice in the back of the head. So not an outright kill, he did suffer. michael
The deeply religious desert country has a poor human rights record and it is unclear if the barber had a fair trial. Still OK?
grahamc
RTFA,, the kid was found chopped to pieces on the outskirts of the town... I dont think he is living with it OPPs... but the same principle applies to if he did not kill him. I half read the title and skipped the rest, too much negativity in my life
Abz
Still OK? Also stated he approach the police and admitted his crime. Thing is these kind of heavy penalty's give these kind of digusting people a hard line to say, you mess about and your finished! That little boy who suffered the rape followed by being killed and chopped up, compared to be shot in the back of the head... compared to his victim he got it easy! hogmaw
What a barbaric country Yemen is to do such a thing. As a nation they are no better than the perpetrator of the crime. His admission was probably brought about under torture. I doubt he got a fair trial either.
Matt H
Still surprises me some of the comments on here. Some peoples not though, you get to expect their outlandish comments btw, condone that and you’re condoning sharia law, the possibility of unfair trials, the possibility of confession under torture and the glamorisation of taking another human life; a state that is no better than the criminal. Since when should glorifying the execution of a person be so public. It's more like an entertainment fest than justice.
JustGav
It's more like an entertainment fest than justice. It is also a damn good deterrent... Which would you prefer, yemen style or 6 months in a category d prison where they are allowed to roam around the streets anyway.
hogmaw
It is also a damn good deterrent... Yeh right, there aren't any murders in the US any more are there Which would you prefer, yemen style or 6 months in a category d prison where they are allowed to roam around the streets anyway. Don't be silly.
JustGav
Yeh right, there aren't any murders in the US any more are there Don't be silly. I'm not being silly, This is my point of view which like yourself I'm entitled to. Nobody has the perfect system do they? US/UK/Yemen...So what would you prefer? Or would you prefer that people who rape, murder and the chop up little kids are protected by the exact human rights that they have decided to forgo for their sick and twisted pleasure. JustGav
btw, condone that and you’re condoning sharia law, Hmmm, possibly yes. the possibility of unfair trials, the possibility of confession under torture and the glamorisation of taking another human life; a state that is no better than the criminal. Right..... because that doesn't currently happen now
