Clutch to handle more power

I fitted a new stock clutch 3,000 miles ago. It was doing a good job until i upped the power and got a load more traction. Last night on the dry roads my clutch "spun and stank" while tring to do 1/4 mile runs. The combination of the Bridgestone RE050a 275/35/18 and the hypermax 2's set to soft was just too much for it. I'm real happy with the traction, but it seems it comes at a price. (last year had crap off the line traction).

For those of you who have fitted an uprated clutch, what was the pedal pressure like, and did it have a progressive action for decent town driving?. whats the make and cost of yours?

What BHP do I run? you make your own mind up on that one, UK spec BPU + FMIC+ 264 cams + F-con pro + twin power +100bhp nitrous + envy [email protected] + walbro.

Thanks for you time

Have an HKS Tripple plate effort, Holds 1000 + BHP, there is NO slip at all, it's the stop and go type that makes you grab your ankles in traffic :complain: on the plus side it will soak up everything you can give it and spit it back in your face :respekt: Cost is somewhere over a grand i think.... Comes with a light-weight fly-wheel though :read:
