garetheves
Ok, to cut a long story short, we are hosting a dinner party this weekend and we had to pick a theme for the food. We picked Classic English. Only trouble is we now have to dress according to the theme. We are both really struggling for ideas of how to dress "Classic English". Oh and it needs to be easy to arrange as we are doing this on saturday. A comedy (kind of) idea we had was to go as Posh and Becks or a pair of tennis players from Wimbledon, but other than that we cant think of anything. Anyone got any ideas

Havard
How about a proper "dobber" outfit with an old Man Utd shirt with "Viewcam" on the front and a pair of saggy tracky bottoms. For the lady I would go with a crop top and a pair of faded yellow leggings with a pair of blue knickers underneath that you can clearly see. May I also advise getting a fake tramp stamp...... H. Charlotte
What about 50s? Your other half would easily find a dress in a highstreet shop with a tulip skirt etc and you could go as a rocker with slick hair and a suit with thin tie?
Havard
How about wearing nothing but black gloves and black socks and going as the 5 of spades?? You could do the same but paint your twig and berries black and go as the 5 of clubs?? H.

Carl_S
sure. As it's swine flu season why not take a trip down this countries past and visit the time of the black death. People can wear bin bags and sacks and bits of rope and use some of their other halfs make up. I'm sure it will be very different to your usual sat eve chez vous.
