Tom
I should know this tbh but I just want to check these photos here that I've taken, can I do whatever I like with these photo's?, ie sell them on the web? or do I need the permission of the owners to do so? the same goes for owners club cars on here that i've done? cheers
JamieP
If you took the photo then you have the right to do what you like with it, when a pap takes a pic of somebody famous they dont need there permission to sell that pic to the papers;)

Wez
You own the photograph, which is why owners can buy and should ask before sticking them anywhere else

grahamc
hold up, depends WHERE you took them.... Yes you own the copyright, however a lot of private events places have T&Cs that state the photographs cannot be used for commercial purposes. If taken on private property (IE. not yours similar applies) only has free use if picture was taken public grounds. however, whats the chances "they" actually find out or know... grahamc
Brands Hatch T&Cs 17. The use of photographic equipment is allowed for private non-commercial purposes only. Any other recording or transmission of audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data by any method in any media relating to the Event or any part of it is prohibited. grahamc
Cheeky feckers, well spotted rather! been pointed out to me before interesting, i'll see if thats the same for goodwood and santa pod then, i'm guessing it will be most of them are the same, sadly I have heard of them actually contacting photographers and asking them to remove the picture from the site, etc. Not sure what would happen if you edited out anything that was track/event specific.... Ark
In general terms, any photograph that you take in a public location, where anybody present can be realistically expected to be aware of the posibility of being photographed, then you retain all rights to the picture. Certain prohibitions exist over photography in some locations, eg government/military buildings, and the owners of private locations like race-tracks can create terms and conditions as we have already seen. The question remains however, about how they _prove_ that a picture was taken at that location if there are no/few identifiable landmarks.
