Carlos Tevez - Lost my respect

Yes, i am sure he is gutted by it!

How can he come out and say he will not join Liverpool out of respect for the fans and then join City?

SAF tried to seal the deal in march by all accounts and Tevez was having none of it. If that was the case SAF should have made a statement to that fact leaving us fans enlightened and not in the dark chanting a traitor.

And he is going to shout in SAF's face if he scores against us and it will the best feeling in the world to him, what a tit.

All the high and mighty words coming from him and his greasy spoon handler were rubbish. Both are mercenaries plain and simple, well they both have what they want and if karma exists come end of the season i shall have what i want. :sly:

So angry right now!

Sorry, I have totally lost interest in the Premier League. The amounts of money we are now talking about are ridiculous..!!

There are people living in cardboard boxes in Manchester city centre and just down the road there are average footballers being offered £200K a week..!!

I think I'll find another sport to follow as I don't like the game anymore.....:( I have been a massive football fan all my life but now is the time to call it a day, unless they cap the wages and transfers the game will be ruined at the lower levels.

Were you under the impression players really give a shit about their club or its fans?

The club is just an employer to most players. They have no real loyalty to clubs, it's all about the money.

Beat me to it.

If they cap the wages all the best players will just go abroad, back abroad in most cases.

I take on board what you gents are saying but i just feel like Tevez has really disrespected United with this whole saga. Yes, there are others who have done the same but not to this level.

There are still players out there that play for their club as it means something to them.

What sport doesn't pay the players too much money??

Tennis, Darts, Snooker, FORMULA 1.

Sport is now a business for the owners, players and fans. You charge what the going rate is for everything in life. £7K for a Supra that should be worth double that and £50K for an E-type Jag that handles like a bag of poo.

So yes, £200K a week is a ridiculous amount for any player, but the stands will be full and Mr. Average will be sat in front of the TV at his local (after paying £3 for a pint!!!) watching the glorious game!!

Just my opinion......:D

It's still quite interesting how it only seems to be footie, where their wages are talked about in weekly terms.

So they earn millions a year? As has been said, top sportmen and business people do the same. Of course, top business men tend to make footballers seem relatively poor - They're rich. Not super rich.

As for loyalty - I suppose you can be born in Argentina and only dream about just wanting to play for umm...Man City or Arsenal Rovers etc, but in reality you will just want to play the best football where you can.

I gave up on football a long time ago.

Its no longer the sport i loved, the game has changed far too much

No loyalty, respect for the game at all.

They just want their millions

Agree with all the above

I like the way everyone complains but it's the fans that pay the wages ultimately by being fans! :D

No I don't think that, but at least when you're supporting England the squad is full of English players. So you ARE supporting England.

Where as any "club" is made up of all sorts. Who / what are you supporting?

How far back would you like to go to get a purely genetic English team? If there is indeed a pure Englishman...with no traces of Viking or Celt etc :)
