Guest johnny boy
Hey guys Got in the car today and the auto gearbox seems to be all over the place. Has no kick down when in the revs and changes at 4k if you take it through the revs. makes it really sluggish been to a mechanic and they think it might be a sensor. Is this a common thing with the autos o is it just mine. i know they are normally very strong? thanks in advance
pistonbroke
not heard of many problems with the autos, they are renowned for being pretty bullet proof. Have you checked the oil level? or changed the oil?

ManwithSupra
usually they start to do odd things when the fluid is low or old.

Terminator
Did you measure the level correctly, if not it can give an artificially high reading.

legendswraith
Fluid levels or gearbox speed sensors. Look on toyodiy for the positions. Eliminate those and see where it leads
