Kearney
As above, there seems to be alot of threads on different forums about peoples insurance going up, particularly with quinn direct, at the renuewal date. My renuewal is at the end of this month and am a bit worried that if it goes up anymore i won't be able to insure my car as it'll be too expensive. I'm paying a whooping €3800 a year on my car as it is. Installments are working out around €390 a month. I'll have another years no claims bonus and I'll be a year older since my policy started but still some peoples insurance is still going up in simiular circumstances. Anyone else have the same problem?

Dnk
I guess everyones will go up by x% so the more you pay now the bigger it will go up by. Im a bit older 48 but mine is £350 ish with agreed value all mods etc covered.
Branners
I just renewed with Sky for £380 which is the same as I paid last year. If I had waited I could have got that price down even further as I had a better quote come back in, but I jumped too soon. So you just need to shop around a bit, or have I mentioned that before? I tried shopping around and all I was getting back was 4k-ish quotes. Sky insurance only seems to cover UK and USA

Lbm
So to answer the OP's opening question...No. Unfortunately, from what I can gather on here, Ireland does seem hideously expensive to buy and insure these wonderful cars of ours.
Kearney
So to answer the OP's opening question...No. Unfortunately, from what I can gather on here, Ireland does seem hideously expensive to buy and insure these wonderful cars of ours. Yep, I know in 18 days what the story is because I'll get my renewal in the door. But if its over 4k for the year and I can't get cheaper insurance anywere else I'll have to part with her and get back into another gts skyline. This is the difference in price for me Supra SZ 3.0 N/a insurance = €3867 TPFT Skyline R34 2.0 N/a GT insurance = €1769 TPFT A killing taught to me but in a worst case scenario Its what I'll be doing. I already rang around a few places today and got told "we don't insure those cars" by dozens of different insurance groups. I'm going to continue my search for cheap insurance for this car, or adleast even reasonable insurance. My mate is a broker and he's on the look for a decent price for me. I'll keep this thread updated to show you'se how I get on

Well there is your problem. 22 years old with a supra (N/A or TT) is going to be expensive. Young people crash more, its as simple as that. The faster the car - The bigger the crash - The more likley the injuries - The bigger the payout - Therefore the more the insurance
martini
I'm 25 and reckon it'll be cheaper for me next year.

It just doesn't make sense like its stupid

supspower
Skyline NA is more expensive for me than the Supra NA, those figures are shockingly high. Hopefully something cheaper will come along. What market value do they say the car is do you know?

What market value do they say the car is do you know? They said they don't like insuring people on supras unless they are 25 and over. Duno why the skyline is so cheap. THe quote I got today is a nightmare because I can't do monthly installments so that rules that out. Back to square one
