michael
Not too bad for anyone looking for a fairly basic system, 5 times better than my best PC at home and only £99 plus VAT. http://www.savastore.com/productinfo/product.aspx?catalog_name=Savastore&product_id=10281195&pid=45&tid=335 Various upgrade options available but I suspect this is where they will try to claw money back so be careful, bits may well be cheaper elsewhere! If you get one keep me posted, I'm very tempted but very skint
Pete
Yeah - but it's a watford! Very crap in my experience.
michael
Good to hear some feedback - I know cock all about PCs these days, my tight wallet has allowed technology to pass me by and these days the company just chucks wads of cash at IBM for prebuilt stuff I'm actually in the market for a PC though so I'm trying to learn what I need to avoid, what is it about the 'watford' that makes it crap compared to others? (And what is a 'watford' apart from a crap place I went once?)
TazUK
Its a VERY bare bones system as well... No CD/DVD drive, smallish Hard Drive and they don't actually say that you are getting a power supply (although I imagine that's just a typo). No keyboard/mouse/monitor either although you might have these already. Personally I'd keep my eyes out for a better deal.
Pete
Feed back from our sales guys: "note the upgrade price to 80 gb (40 quid!) really only 4 quidish , that's the way to do it , unlucky no 40gb but you can double the size for only 40.00 its a dell trick ! " "Ours would be about £150 inc . But if we dropped our brand to PC chips we could do it. Wouldn’t want to support it though!"
GeordieSteve
To be fair it's not a bad kids PC or porn station
michael
I did say "Basic PC" and to be careful with the upgrades - seems cheap for anyone who wants a PC of *that* spec though
Pete
You're absolutely right - it's disposable at that price isn't it?
dangerous brain
they don't actually say that you are getting a power supply (although I imagine that's just a typo). . Nope I think that you actually do have to buy a PSU as they are priced up at 350W for £15. does anybody make a power supply less than 350 now? Pete
15 quid! I doubt that one is 350W - certainly not regulated or sustained.
dangerous brain
Well it does call it an upgrade, allthough its probably so cheap as its necky asking for money for a power supply when a pc wont work without one.
dangerous brain
Cool if you click on every top of the range upgrade it whacks it up to £2314.
