speed cameras

rgiht these original gatso jobbies not the forward facing ones wih the red lenses or the average speed cameras but the 'good' ole fashion gatso..... the ones that flash twice, i was flashed by one today but i was driving todwards it and it was on the other side of the road it flashed facing towards me when my drivers windoe was almost inline with the camera..... so to cap it of it wasnt pointing in my direction of travel!!!!

 

will i get a ticket?

If you are travelling towards an old style Gatso and it flashes you won't get a ticket even if there are white lines on your side of the road. (The white lines are there to catch the clever bu66ers who would otherwise cross to the other side of the road to escape the camera.)

I've been flashed whilst on the lines whilst the camera was facing the rear of my van but the car on the opposite side of the road set it off speeding and its happend a few times and nothing happend. You wount be botherd if it was facing the front of your car.

Is this really the case? as i got flashed by one from the opposite side although there was another car on the opposite side but i assumed he was passed it - my side did have the white lines :search:
