Class One
I fear my media player is corrupted. I cannot play any files using it, instead it freezes my PC with green vertical lines and the page goes sort of blurry. Any ideas how to fix. Spybot and AVG have not picked up any virus' or trojans. Frank Bullitt
You could always try running the free download from kaspersky, I have found AVG to be pretty useless in the past. You need to uninstall AVG not remove or delete it otherwise it stops you adding the above programme. Can you uninstall/remove WMP 11 & try running VLC instead? Pete
Uninstall and reinstall is a first option. I had this once and found that something had installed some dodgy codecs. I fixed it by downloading a codec pack IIRC.
stevie_b
Like Pete I would re-install WMP. You don't necessarily need to uninstall it first. If when you try to re-install it it tells you that you've already got it installed and quits, then you'll need to uninstall it first to force it to refresh.
