Review: Ice Age 3

Went to see this tonight. (in 2D)

Absolutely fantastic film, very funny and is probably the best of the 3.

Unlike the Shrek franchise where they just got unfunny, Ice Age has improved each time.

This time they have the adult humour mixed into it. :D

One thing that took me aback was how much I enjoyed it still with a cinema full of kids, they are better behaved than the teenager age group.

Well worth a watch, in my opinion ofcourse.

Watched it a couple of nights back.....some really funny moments, I preferred the 2nd one more. Havent seen the 1st btw.

I still think Madagascar 1 and 2 were in a different league (way better)

i'll give it a 6/10 - good but nothing special.

how was it in 3d, well done?

I've not seen that many 3D movies, but for me it was very well done. I was expecting the red/green paper glasses but ended up with some proper specs that looks like shades.

Apparently the movie uses REALD. RealD uses circularly polarized light to produce stereoscopic images. Hence the performance is better than with linearly polarizing systems which suffer from visible double imaging if the head is tilted to the side.

You also dont get colour loss like you did with the older red/green paper glasses method.
