JustGav
Pipex aren't too bad...Nildram are good as well, however I believe they merged with Pipex recently.. They have done me well in the past... and they aren't too badly priced... I would avoid places like wanadoo.. as their support numbers are premium rate if something goes wrong... Just my experiences...

Digsy
I'm on their site now. Their product specs are a bit odd, don't you think? What;s the difference between "Plus" and PAYG" apart from the fixed IP and no "Advanced mail delivery" (whatever that is?). I can't see any reason why you would sign up for the PAYG package when it looks like you can get unmetered for the same price. ...and why is Plus "from £14.99" when further down the page it says its a fixed monthly cost? I'm not knocking them, I'm just finding it hard to understand their products, which rings alarm bells for me.
michael
To be honest everything seems to have changed since I took my account out - I opted for a straight forward unlimited deal which was £18.99 a month, had a montly rolling contract (ideal for people who rent) and allowed me to supply my own kit. They have removed this and other packages and replaced them with a mass of confusing options... All I can say is that the service I have now is flawless, reports say that those in need of tech support are dealt with quickly and the in house forums don't seem to be full of rage like many others The last time I looked the options for accounts were different, I'd be lost myself with that mess now... I'm just whoring referals for a 50p discount on my bill, I'm pure scum
Guest Terry S
I have found a company called Prodigy that do 2mb, with a 2gb limit, for £17.01 a month as a business package, but you have to provide your own ADSL modem. It seems a lot of places wont offer their packages to businesses.
Shovels
You might want to try Eclipse http://www.eclipse.co.uk They are pretty good, they offer a 2Mb £14.99 deal with 1Gb allowance, £1.75 per gig, or part there-of after. I've set loads of people up with it. The only downside is that they charge a £50+VAT connection fee. You do, however, get an IP Address for free if you want one. Their tech support is on a local number, and their tech support is pretty good.
michael
Terry, you may have to pretend you aren't a business to get this but it might be of interest.... UK Online has launched a new service. It’s £9.99 a month, uncapped for 512Kbps with a set-up charge of £25. However it’s only available for those in an exchange that has been unbundled. You can find out if that applies to you here: http://www.ukonline.net/8000/llu_exchangelist.php Fits in with your speed and "Cheap as possible" requirements, spam and virus protection can be added with free software (AVG etc) downloads if necessary
Guest Terry S
Thanks Michael, I signed today with Freedom2surf. £12.99 a Month for 2meg with a 2GB limit, but We dont really download much so hopefully will be cool( £1.28 per GB there after). It was £43 extra for the USB Modem & 3 filters, and the connection charge was £43 from memory. They seem to score quiet hightly on the ADSL site ( well for a cheap provider).
