Guest robspan
I'm sure this has been asked before but... I've had the supra for 8 years, and about 2 weeks ago when it was very hot, I was driving up a steep hill, and the "O/D OFF" light started flashing every couple of seconds. I clicked the O/D button on & off, parked & turned the engine off & on a couple of times, no luck ! So it was flashing for the next couple of hours until I got home. But since then, no flashing at all... Could there be a loose wire ? Is there a timer so the car has to be off for a while before the warning light resets ? AndrewOW
Maybe this should be moved to Technical.

Ben-san
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=426170&postcount=1 Historically, this is is likely to throw up a Speed Sensor fault, or Code 42.
Guest robspan
if i get the warning again, I'll go through the techie stuff, but it seemed strange to happen only that once, and that was 2 weeks ago !
danhicks22
Mine used to flash when my speedo converter was wired up wrong and I hit full boost. Not sure why but it would be fine driving normally for a while but if I booted it, the light would start flashing and I'd get the biug warning light. A couple of times it just came on without me doing that though... It hasn't done it since I connected the converter up properly.
dude
It will flash if you have a TRAC problem
Abz
Mine flash a few times when I replaced the dash, I presume it was a loose wire which was touching because it has not done it since! I would look under the gearbox area to check wires etc
