Need to slow down.

Sorry to hear about this Dave, I would recommend a chyropractor though as they can put your back into Shape. Read your comment I had to straighten my back, we are very lazy and keep slopping which causes all the wear and tear on the vertebrates!

Well I'm off to see an ostiopath(sp) tomorrow and have my back strapped so I can't bend it to the point of doing more damage:(

After that I may be able to do some sort of work I hope:blink:

If that does not work I may need an operation as atm I can't sit or bend with doing damage so I have been bed bound since leaving hospital:( This is starting to piss me off now as things were going soooo well with the business and all.

I'll keep you all posted and thanks for your kind words.

Dave. (standing while typing)

Hope your back on your feet soon mate! My dad suffers with bad back problems and he'll be bed ridden for weeks at a time, thats why he got rid of his supra plus other things! He went to get in mine a few weeks ago and couldnt manage it! I see how frustrated he gets with it and he's retired now so must be hell for you when your trying to run a business as well :(

Hope you better soon :)

I did mine back bending down putting the baby in his bouncy chair when he was about 8 weeks old. Heard a horrible crack then the pain dropped me to the floor :( Had to get my eldest to bring me the phone so I could call my parents to come and pick me up off the floor, got spasams for months after, but good now as long as I bend and lift correctly. Swimming helped me.

Its not worth rushing your recovery if you have a prolapsed disc mate. My brother did his back in on news year eve - one prolapsed disc and one herniated disc, all he did was bend down awkwardly to put something of little weight onto a shelf.

He spent all of January on the floor as it was the only position he could get comfy in, he was off work for 6 months. If you rush your recovery you may cause further damage. The pain your experiencing is most likely caused by pressure on your sciatic nerve (by your disc). If the disc 'pops' out of alignment by a certain amount you'll need an operation to have part of it chopped off (to relieve pressure on the sciatic nerve), this op will leave scar tissue that increases the chance of you having an aching back for the rest of your life (albeit not as painful as it is now).

See a physio and try to get your doctor to arrange a scan to see how bad the damage is.
