martini
Bought some mesh from Matt H (thanks), and fitted it this evening using a power drill and some very small cable ties. I think it looks pretty neat, and considering it was all done for £10... I am very pleased! I would like to thank Darryl for his tips on how to do this, along with a few other members (Heckler, Matt H, Gaz, Pixelfill, SupraGirlie, Luxluc) for advice. Before: (flipped for continuity) http://idisk.me.com/martinirwin/Public/Pictures/Skitch/MESH_3-20090708-232400.jpg After: http://idisk.me.com/martinirwin/Public/Pictures/Skitch/MESH_1-20090708-232634.jpg http://idisk.me.com/martinirwin/Public/Pictures/Skitch/MESH_2-20090708-232559.jpg Took me about 30 minutes with the bumper on! Fiddly indeed Mesh is only to stop the radiator getting destroyed, but also looks quite nice. I might change the bumper in the future, but for now, I think this does the job. In daylight, you could see the radiator - which is pretty uncool and ugly! Skirts are being fitted on Friday! Spike3.0
Looks good, but maybe a little too silver on the black car... How about spraying it Gun metal or black to help blend it in a little ?
heckler
I used black mesh on mine...

Dave17
Looks good to me, i quite like the stark colour contrast actually, was this a bumper off job? I'm thinking about doing the same with my standard front bumper.

martini
Heckler... if I get a bumper that fits 100% I'll do it like yours probs. Mine's a non-perfect replica, with a bit of wear and ageing.

martini
mines a rep too Mine's a non-perfect replica. i.e. it had to be bent a fair bit to get it on... hence me not taking it off!

Kev_A
Mine came with silver mesh in the apetures, thought it looked hideous so removed it and polished up the FMIC pipes, I keep toying with the idea of putting black mesh in all of the holes though. Looks a tidy enough job mate but IMHO the silver mesh is just too much against a black car...
SupraGirlie
Good job I been thinking about putting some mesh in my TS front to protect my new FMIC.

Richie-R
Silver mesh for me love the contrast with black.
martini
changed it to black. If I had mesh covering ALL the gaps, I might have left it silver... http://idisk.me.com/martinirwin/Public/Pictures/Skitch/Finshed_3-20090710-143537.jpg Thread on my new skirts is here.
