As title of thread....

Had a strangely vivid dream lastnight that I can remember every tiniest detail of. I've felt strange ever since I woke up and I really wanted to know if anyone could interpret anything in it...

Will post or PM it to anyone who thinks they might be able to.

Odd topic I know

cheers

My analysis..

You had a dream which means nothing in reality.

My thoughts exactly, but it was really odd and I know some people reckon dreams mean something. Was just curious as to what someone who studied dreams might make of it. Admittedly a car forum probably isn't the best place to post it

Ok here goes..... sounds like I'm on drugs, but I'm not lol... and yes I'm fully prepared for the inevitable p*ss take that will prevail hehe.

It started on the beach in some far eastern country, there was an amazing skyline with lots of tall lit buildings, was talking to a load of local people about crime (for some reason) and what the area was like... they were telling me to beware as lots of strange things were going on and nobody knew what was happening to the place. Although I wasn't sure where I was, it seemed like I was meant to be there...

I walked up the beach and ended up following an estuary which turned into a brick lined river (a bit like a canal) and it led me into a densely populated city. The water in the river/canal was vividly and almost eerily clear. I could see lots of wrapped up bodies stuck to the side of the river wall just below the surface of the water, kind of like they were bound or cocooned.

I got speaking to some more local people who seemed oblivious to the bodies in the water, when I asked them about it, they said not to ask or they would be struck down. Then I was talking to a load of people outside some glass windows which reminded me of the windows in the red light district in Amsterdam. Everyone seemed to be queueing to see one particular lady for some reason. I wasn't in the queue but this beautiful lady came out and singled me out and told me to come in and winked at me, I felt like I should go inside for some reason.

When I walked in from the hustle and bustle, everything became quiet when she shut the door. She sat me down and explained that she wasn't really a prostitute but that she just made her customers become unconscious then inserted memories of an encounter with her while she looked through their belongings for clues. She told me that I didn't belong in this place and that for my own safety I should leave town immediately before something happened to me. She gave me a card (I can't recall what was on it) and said that I should go and meet someone at a nightclub in town then I should go... she wouldn't tell me what for. She was very vague about it but for some reason I knew what she was talking about and went to the club.

Out of the blue two of my best friends were with me, we seemed to be on some kind of mission although I don't know what. For some reason we all suddenly felt uneasy and the lights came on in the club. My one friend said to get out of here and we started to walk towards the door and this girl I recognised from somewhere came up to me and said could I spare a minute for a hug as she was upset... She whispered something in my ear that I couldn't make out. As soon as she did all eyes were on me, security shutters came down and I was trapped inside.

Suddenly there was a loud crash and I turned around and a Gold Vauxhall Chevette (god knows why this car) had crashed through the shutters and there was several asian looking chaps in there shouting at me to get in. For some reason I trusted them and ran to the car and got in. Once we had escaped they told me that I was being hunted because there was something special about me, they didn't know what it was but they didn't want'them' to find out. On the journey to wherever we were going I suddenly woke up without finding out what happened... don't know what happened to my friends either, they left the dream as quick as they entered it.

Ok, the distant city indicates something afar, full of people that intrigue you, you want to be there with those people yet are fearful of what that may mean, hence the people around you talking about "crime."

The beach, estuary, river canal metaphors are a journey, more of self discovery than a physical journey but there is fear still. the bodies wrapped up may represent death or disease, but actually are your own personalities waiting to hatch out like a butterfly, or some sort of horrific sea-moth.

Other people are still trying to steer you off your path yet the "prostitute" figure is clearly telling you that "she" i.e. women, are not on your path, you must go the other way, the way of clubbing, of male friends. The crisis point is where the woman talks to you, this is your fear of coming out, and the events in the club, the shutters, the staring, all represent your fear of admitting to yourself, that deep down you are a botter, a backdoor johnny, a cocoa shunter of the highest order.

The gold Chevette full of asians just means that you really, really like rimming.

Great thread and amazing that you remembered your dream in such detail. Wish I could do those with mine.

All I can say is that those coocoons I feel mean that there is something in you that is not talked about you.

All your friends, the asian guys etc could represent something about you, but the fact is I don't know. Good luck and let us know what analysis you find suits that dream best. Fascinting subject.

I find dreams to be very exciting.

Funnily enough i go to bed sometimes thinking about problems/issues and wake up with the answers.

I know this may sound weird but when i'm working on my car for example and have a niggling issues or something that i can't suss out while i'm awake, i find i get my answers/solutions in my dreams( most of the time!).

Dreams are so weird, exciting and something beutifull we will never fully understand.

Hence the expression to 'sleep on it', the whole point of sleep is to order your days data in a better way and learn from it.
