I have painful experiencies from 'short shift' kits, back from the days of my Calibra turbo (which also used a 6sp Gertrag box)

Things would break suddenly, because the forces involved were much higher than the manufacturer had in mind. These are all levers you see. On slightly tired gearboxes people had experienced accelerated wear, synchors going, that sort of thing.

I've had to call the AA twice because of broken bits leaving me stranded stuck in neutral or an inconvenient gear. Refitted stock bits an all was well.

I've learned my lesson heh...
