Supradan
You are right toyota never made a manual aerotop TT. There a few going round with 6speed conversions but i wouldnt bother waiting for one to come up for sale. Not 100% sure but i dont think the NA Aerotop came with a manual option either. As for tuning an NA toyota did about as much as you can do to Tune the NA . Exhaust,de-cat etc will possibly see 10hp extra but if you want large gains in power then NA -T is one possible route, the other is transplant the NA lump for a TT one, would be worth doing to an szr 6speed in my opinion. Welcome to the club:)
martini
Manual aerotops exist only in the 'states from what I have gathered. Bit of a shame, but there you go. There are a few conversions around and it's something I would possibly try out one day (although the 7 forward gears heard in Brian's F&F supra never existed anywhere). A lot of people say the autobox is one of the best ever made, so drive one of those and either having manual or having an aerotop will rock it for you. I went manual, hard top:)
