what a heap, cars like that are a bloody liability on the road. Suspension is probably just cut springs, and I bet he drives the $#@! out of it with stock brakes and stupidly low suspension with an absolute ton of fibreglass stuck to the outside and ice on the inside. Looks a joke aswell but then if he wants to look like that then it's his choice.

How are they a liability?

Just because it is modified?

Holy sh*t so is half of this clubs cars, oh no, he has an exhaust bet he drives the sh*t out of it.

Ooooooo that looks lowered i bet hes cut the springs

He must be dangerous

I bet he thinks your car is sh*t and is dangerous

I think thats a tad harsh. Its stereotypes that give the younger drivers a bad name.

Perhaps he just loves modified and modifying cars?

Of course there are a lot of twats on the road, the UK is full of them in general, but we can't go around labeling someone because of their taste in cars, styling, modifying.

In fairness even though the style is crap it looks like he has done it all properly, something that a lot of people on this forum can't say. Would be nice to see the engine bay, tyres & the underneath of his car just to see if he looks after it or not.

I think he does indeed like modifying - lambo doors recently installed.

Each to their own, at least it doesn't havea Veilside Supra rear wing. :)

It'd possibly even beat my N/A if we were to race...

if your NA couldnt beat a shopping car thats been through a halfords shop window then theres something terribly wrong with your car

I am sure friggin' hope my N/A would kill it.

So you think your Supra would, or wouldn't beat it? :search:

The first part of that post was a bit of a joke about N/As. I would be massively surprised if the saxo would beat my N/A. Whilst I won't be racing my car, just because that saxo has 4 exhausts does not mean that it's quicker than mine.

Also, I don't care if it is faster. I love my supra. I just wondered what the forum thought to this saxo... opinions are divided but usually it all boils down to "if the owner like it, so what" which is quite nice really :)

dude your not a TT owner therefore you should defend the NA

How should I defend it? Challenge him to a duel?? :taped:

I was self-deprecating so that one of you TT or single turbo owners wouldn't just turn up and say...

but you have an N/A!

some folk prefer cats....some prefer dogs....some hate marmite....some love marmite......each to their own? his/her money, his/her car.....credit to them for making it look vaguely ok for a saxo!

Agreed. I prefer cats...going off your list.

That saxo would beat a NA, if the owner is telling the truth (and who knows if he is) then it's supercharged (landrover supercharged badge on the boot lid) judging by the money spent on the car and the owner being in his 30's it's probably running over 230bhp and weighs next to nothing.

From first look it's way OTT but the point in modding a car is to make it unique and to your own taste (or else there is no point) and if the bloke's happy then fair play but I can think of a much better way to spent £20k+

If the guy wasn't 38 years old I'd say lets give the kid a break, he's just getting into the modifying world and although the choice of kits/styling isn't to everyone's taste, at first glance I'd say at least he's done a half decent job.

Now I know that the guy's 38... I'd say he needs to grow up and get a proper car... lol each to their own though, if he's 38 and likes Saxo's, let him get on with it, he's missing out on some much better motoring for he money he's put into that but that's his choice and his loss.

Even with a huge ICE install in the back with TV screens and everything?

If he's telling the truth about the supercharged badge... can anyone see anything Veilside, aside from the massive sticker?

Its not 230bhp and probably not charged. Even it it was, 200 ponies would be the upper limit. Its a VTR (no top glove box).

Still, we could sit around here all day speculating what is inside. Hell, it could have a viper lump in it, but im going with a VTR engine with just an induction kit ;)

PS, its not my old car :D

no because the vast majority of cr@ppy modified saxos's are exactly that, cr@ppy modified saxo's. Cut springs are a regular thing on maxpower specials and with all the extra weight of exhausts, bodykits and massive 2kw sound systems in a car the size of a shopping trolley that gets rallied around tesco carparks, yes, it is a liability.

And where did I say having a big exhaust meant you drive the sh!t out of your car. Having four big massive exhausts on a saxo does indeed indicate to me that your a knob boy racer type. What a generalisation I know but thats just life.

And he may think my car or your car looks shite but judging from his taste in craptastic bodykits and jet engine exhaust systems I'm quite happy to let it stay that way. Thanks for the reply anyway mum.
