caseys
Hi All, I've searched through the forum but can't many answers on what's best to do with a small single turbo setup cat/emissions wise. If you have a small turbo setup what have you done regarding emissions MOT test? Just put the 2nd cat in temporarily if it fits your downpipe/midpipe? I assume if I did such a thing I'd have to do a very timid and short drive to the MOT centre? Has anyone bought a sports cat at all like this one advertised by Nic http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=1709704&postcount=13 If so what's happened to your EGTs and power? I'm not too fussed losing a bit of power, but a raise in EGTs would be nice to avoid. There's been threads about 2nd cats and sports cats for BPU but not much info for single setups. I ask as my MOTer who has been very friendly to me for the last 5-6 years has said that there's a lot more of a clampdown on things this year. I am thinking it's time to go for a sports-cat to save hassle and have peace of mind. Thanks, Simon
paul mac
i just get the garage to fit the second cat, do the test, then take it off again, in 9 years of supra ownership i have never had a road side emmisions check, you could get a high flow cat but the car would have to be set up to run with it
