nick_karkie
Trust me, the best thing you guys can do is get another pup I completely agree, you fall in love all over again.
j80leo
Absolutely gutted for you mate, she looked beautiful. The boxer is a great dog, brilliant personality. Always over the moon when they see you (even if you've only left the room for 10 minutes ) I feel for you matey, I really do. I don't think I've ever felt a more painful sadness than when I lost my first dog. The advice to get another one is sound, there is a dog out there that you can provide a perfect home too. Not only that, they are great at lifting your spirits during hard times. Don't think of a new dog as a replacement, think of them as a reminder of how much you love them. That just made me smile as Honey was the same leave the room and she would be so happy to see you again. i know what your going though mate, our red boxer bitch is still with us at the moment but if it turns out she does have a tumour in her spine we will have to have her put down which makes my heart churm just thinking about it as she is our second child!! also i would report the vet as we have had boxers for many years and a couple of them used to have phantoms every year and never had any issues!! i know thats no use to you now but i would want the questions asked. Mike ps she looks very much like my nelly I hope everything works out for you with nelly and i just shown the misses your photo looks very alike. j_jza80
Very sorry to hear this was a lovely looking Boxer. I lost one of my Whippets earlier this year. He broke his leg, and died as a result of the anesthetic after the surgery. Don't be too hard on the vets though, they have a very difficult job, which often includes horrid decisions and giving advice based often on limited information.
