jacko
I was just wondering if anybody had heard of a standard or Blitz access ecu playing up? Ive had a problem with my second turbo being slightly unpredictable for sometime, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Then recently i developed a severe missfire and discovered that the first cylinder was down. I managed to trace this back to the ECU (i think) and now ive changed my Access for the standard one, everything is working ok. The problem with the second turbo also seems to have gone away, although i cant give it too much beans now as i hit fuel cut! The problem with the second turbo and missfire were both intermitent- would this point towards the ECU being knackered? Or maybe it just needed resetting? Or the other option could be the wires on the ECU had come loose over time. What do people think?
jacko
The car has now got a slightly lumpy idle, would this be the ECU still learning? Or does it indicate an issue somewhere?
hadyn
Was your Blitz ECU for an auto or a manual? Check the toyota part numbers. You can run auto ECUs in a manual but not vice versa. Auto ecus in a manual cause slight stumbles/hesitation etc but on the whole the car runs fine.
