JustGav
I'm currently speccing and installing a network for a friend, he wants to use Sage which is something I don't know. Doing some research, I've found that I'll need Win2k8 + SQL 2k8 + 5 Cals Sage 200 retail + wholesale * 2 (2 clients) Sage 200 POS (1 client) Does that look right? Will be giving them a call in the morning to confirm. Thanks
DamanC
Depends what they want to do with it. Accounts packages are all ghey now adays, they are all made up of 'bits'. Call to confirm, they are fairly handy the other end

Spike3.0
Dont know if it will help but I've got a sealed copy of Sage Accounts 08 here, going cheap ; )
Pete
Depends how big the business is. Sage 200 is a very different beast to Line 50 designed for small business. It's much more customisable and supports things like BoMs, but will need more configuring for his business type.
JustGav
I had a chat with Sage today... Finally managed to get an understanding of the product suite... Not going to need SQL at all, since it will all be based on Sage 50 Accounts Pro running on a dedicated server, using a Sage provided EPOS terminal, and a oscommerce connector. Pete
OSCommerce? Hmmm...if you're interested we offer a great Ecommerce package for £999 which also has Sage Line 50 integration. Drop me an email at [email protected] and I can forward some info if you're interested.
