Lez
Depends how much security you want. RUSH has made one option, but for me theft isn’t so important; however it was for my insurance. I didn’t want an annoying siren either, just something to immobilise it and to have a remote for the doors. I brought a Cat 2 system; AutoWatch 172Ri for £115 fitted it myself and got my mate to put his garage stamp on the certificate, job done. (Tracing the fuel control wire to the ECU pin number was fun) Anyway if your techno minded then any system that is Thatcham approved can be fitted yourself and checked by an installer for about £25. If your not, then take your time and shop around.

merckx
if you can afford it mate,(£500.fitted) go for the RAC.trackstar GPS system.its top cat thatcham with insurance companys. i did, i know its expensive but at least i now have total peace of mind knowing if it did get stolen im going to get it back within 24hrs. £500 is very reasonable for an alarm and tracker. Nice to be able to get the car back if it gets stolen, it wouldn't be easy finding another one to replace it!
