Soaruss
I'm thinking of changing my mobile phone and network. Been with 02 for years now but Virgin seem to have the best deal for what I want at the mo but I dont know what coverage is like etc. Can anyone enlighten me please before I dive in and in time end up regretting it. I am with Virgin with TV, landline phone, broadband and never had any probs. Thanks

Aweegin
My Bro-in-law was with virgin for a while.. from Oxford through a move to Norfolk.. I don't recall him sayin he ever had problems.. Personally im o2 as well.. they have been one of the best imo. Check the sim only deal if your fone is still ok... its 30 day contract..but when i last spoke to them, if you sign to it for a year you get it cheaper still.. ivan
I'm with Virgin. The coverage seems OK - the rare times I haven't had a signal nobody else has either. Don't know about deal values though, mine's PAYG.

I've had this phone a few years now and ready for a change. When my upgrade was due on my contract there wasnt a phone I liked at the time so went onto their Simplicity deal (still pay monthly) but can cancel anytime. I dont want to leave a good network to a bad one.
Aweegin
Ah..lol.. that's cool then. I used to love Vodafone for coverage but they just charged too much (at the time). T-Mobile and 3 are the worst I have heard off. It all depends where you live..none of them are perfect :s
merckx
I've got Virgin now and I'm going to change soon as the coverage isn't very good at all when you're out of the urban areas and into the countryside.
Lbm
In principal, the Virgin package sounds good. I've looked at it briefly, however my feeling is you're only going to get let down with coverage and internet speeds etc... So at the moment, I'm with O2 for mobile and home internet and SKY+ for TV stuff.
stevie_b
IIRC Virgin Mobile doesn't have a transmitter network of its own, its uses T Mobile's transmitters.

JustGav
IIRC Virgin Mobile doesn't have a transmitter network of its own, its uses T Mobile's transmitters. Indeed, it is a phantom phone provider, however be aware that Tmobile is about to sell out, which could leave the phantom providers in some what of a pickle... Of course they would have to honour existing contracts... My experience of one2one/t-mobile was that it was complete shy....te..
supra_surj
I used to work for Virgin, Not bad network as said before they use T-Mobiles network which ive had now for 8years and havent had any problems but I guess it depends on where you live. I sell Vodafone in my store which has a reputation to have a great network coverage. Surj
