Animal
Why is it so damn hard to find musicians who can actually be arsed to play anywhere. My band imploded tonight, mostly due to the guitarist having to travel from Manchester to Leeds with work and he's now too tired to be arsed playing. We'd just booked a gig for August as well. It's pissed me off more as I've had to drive 180 miles from Whitehaven every Friday since November and I've still managed to drum for the best part of 3 hours straight. Kids today have no stamina. On the plus side, I managed to get all my gear into the Supe - I gott my electric kit, 2 kick pedals, my cymbals stands & stool, a flight bag full of leads & stuff, a 120w Laney wedge monitor, my big mixing desk, 2 smallish speaker cabs and a 1k amp into the Supra. Anyone who says Supras are crap for carrying stuff aren't trying hard enough. So, I'm back tolooking for another band now. A job made harder with me working in the arse end of nowhere during the week. Bah humbug.
Lbm
Some are lazy buggers aren't they? Still you're not wrong about the Supe's capacity for carting stuff around- I can get my 4x10 bass cab + 400 watt head, 2x 4 par 64 leds lights, plus stands, 3 x mini led uplighters, one cable & pedals flightcase, bass guitar + stand, plus singer & tambourine. formatzero
In bands the music is the easy thing ,keeping everyone in the band happy and having the same goals is harder.Iv'e been very lucky in a long semi-pro career as the guy playing in our duo has been my bandmate for the last 45years(we started at 15 with his dad drivin the van) and over this time many have come and gone, wev'e been three four and five peice but the others came and went but were still gigging. Not having hit the big time as we'd hoped when we were young has made no difference, wev'e had a ball and wouldn't change it for anything.Incidently i also considered the band gear when buying the sup,no room in a 350z or s2000,hope you get fixed up with a band soon
Animal
Yeah, it can be a pain at times. It's a shame, as I've played with some really good musicians, I just never seem to find the ones motivated enough to get gigs. Also annoying when you see so many local bands out there playing with awful drummers.

No gig tonight or tomorrow, but I like that as most of my weekends get taken up with playing from April to October I was playing last night though, which I enjoyed Don't think I'd like to go head to head with all the great scouse comics though - Morecombe & Wise, Cooper, Manning, Monkhouse.
