They settle down after a few days, but don't go buying any apples in the near future!

Are they train track ones (well that's what they were called back when I had them, 17 years ago!). It gets a little sore every time they tighten them gets less uncomfortable each time. If it's just the gum sheild type then it's nothing to worry about, they will settle down quickly.

It's well worth the pain though. Every time in the last 16 years my dentist says I have perfect teeth :)

I'm sure that a smile from you would brighten anyones day :)

Cheddar FTW :D

Will take a few days to settle. 2 perhaps 3. Can hurt like **** if they are over tightened.

Strangely, I have never known an adault to have train tracks, and I have worked at a dentist, how are you if you dont mind me asking Clare?

My missus just had braces installed yesterday, both top and bottom for 18 months.

Been told if you have issues you can put wax on where it's getting sore from rubbing. Some people have even used the wax from Babybell cheese :)

As Homer said, no apples, no crusty bread. Been told sweet stuff can be OK if you brush your teeth immediately after!
