RedM
We went to Criccieth nearly twenty years ago. We did B&B and really had a great time. The castle is good for a quick visit. Portmerion is near and the beaches, from memory where stoney near the town and more sandy on the other side of the river bit.

Scooter
check out Mwnt on streetmap (google for pics)...........its a bit fiddly to get to but a lovely little sandy beach and hill to climb to give good views. Holds fond childhood memories for me just may be a bit more commercial/popular/spoilt these days but worth a punt I think.

ivan
I went to Wales on holiday years ago - it was shut! No kidding, everyday we went out we seemed to hit half-day closing in that town.
juanchan
I went to Cardigan / Fishguard on holiday a couple of times when I was younger. The beaches were awesome; sandy but quite windy. I don't recall much else about the area, other than flying kites, building sand castles and whatnot
Branners
so anyway, I have my holiday booked in Aberystwyth now, should be different from Bournemouth and Poole which is where we usually go.
Tim
We've just got back from our family break, and we stayed in Cenarth, just down the road from Cardigan! Absolutely lovely place, we even went to the village and found thousands of eels in the river! We had our own log cabin and it cost £400 per week for 4 of us to stay in a self catering accommodation! Have a look here, http://www.underthethatch.co.uk/ the one we had was called Cabin Cariad. If you want to see some pictures of the area, then let me know!
