Guigsy
I saw this film a while ago. At first i decided to watch it because my fiance is half native american and i figured it would be interesting. Turned out to be much more interesting than i counted on. Anyway they are showing it again now. Its a brilliant film, very moveing in places. A health scare prompts eccentric New Zealander Burt Monro (Anthony Hopkins) to attempt to break the land speed record on his treasured Indian Scout motorcycle. I cant work out how to start it from the beginning but here is the live feed. Its realy worth watching from the beggining as thats where a lot of the storyline is explained. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/playlive/bbc_one_london/
Ewen
Great film, really enjoyed it. I'll watch anything with Anthony Hopkins in it anyway but this is good and as you say, moving in parts.

Scott
Thoroughly enjoyed that film, Hopkins was absolutely fantastic in the movie. It was a great depiction of dedication and determination. I mean the way he strove to get his end away was just heartwarming. The few bits about some rattling bike were ok too.

AndrewOW
A really great film. I don't know if it was overlooked for awards, but deserved a few IMO.

Aweegin
..saw this on a plane to Hong Kong, as a random choice.. it rapidly became one of my favourite movies. You can do it..go Burt!!
Getrag
Yeah, this was a real surprise find when i watched it, really enjoyed following his adventure to get there.
Whitesupraboy2
I watched it too, what a great film had never heard of it. So we base movies on amazing stories in history....well in future they'lll be crap. Burt turned up at the track and health and safety said no, Burt tried anyway and was arrested and put in a mental hospital...The End. Matt H
Totally agree, i loved the film. Totally misleading title though. I thought it was going to be a docu on runners! One of my fav bits of the film is when the "other" biker gang full of young chaps meets up with Burt on his way to the airpot in Oz, following on from all the bravardo, and offers his some cash and says "good on ya burt, show'm kiwi's can fly"
Al Massey
My dad told me to watch this a couple of years ago and have loved in ever since, He had it on a copy and it took me nearly a year to find 2 english dvd's so i could give my dad one. My dad and i have seen it hundreds of times but it still brings a tear to his eye The film is great and Burt is a legend
