jamesmark
Well tbh i've put mine on ebay, but i plan to collect/deliver them, that way people will see before they buy, a bit old fashioned i know:d . But anyway, dont see the point in anyone trying to pull a fast one! I would then they can't say you sent a normal one, cash on collection only so they cannot pull a fast one with paypal after you hand it over, oh and take a mate with you. I just squashed a 20p in a press at work. Now it is much bigger and the 2008 is in large font. Not as big as a 50p piece so will sell for 75% of whatever H gets for his!! She didn't already know and then spent the next 20 mins searching through the cash till! caseys
They're going for £220-400 on ebay at the moment. http://coins.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/20p__W0QQ_armrsZ1QQ_dmdZ1QQ_mdoZCoinsQQ_msppZQQ_pcatsZ122480Q2c3394Q2c58520Q2c11116QQ_sacatZ122485 Been watching auctions that have been ending today. it's nuts. Someone also advertised a 20p with no date 'on the head side' . Which is true... none do! That sold for £8 + £1 P&P! misleading listings, gotta love 'em. KaiBosh
There are loads of scammers on Ebay selling normal 20p pieces - and literally dozens of people paying more than £50 for them. Definitely more money than sense. Listings like this: "THIS COIN IS UNDATED on the queen side AND THIS UNDATED on the queen side COIN IS VERY RARE DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A VERY RARE UNDATED on the queen side 20P COIN WHAT IS COMPLETELY UNDATED on the queen side" ALL the old ones are undated on the Queen side FFS There are a couple that finished on thousands but I'm sure they're hoax bids - why would anyone pay grands when they regularly finish for £150? Tom
why anyone would pay £150 for a 20p piece is beyond me! I wouldnt give a quid, lol
