Guest K9R97RSP
The reverse lockout does not lock out the reverse gear. Any ideas?
Terminator
The lock out plate will be damaged or loose, you will have to take out the centre console and remove the rubber gaiters to access the plate. it may even be a drop the back of the box job. I made sure mine was OK before fitting the box, so not sure if you can access adequately from above. Does the reverse lifter on the stick still work? Guest Luigi
What he said ... ^.... The detent lockout plate is accessable from the top (see pic, shiny bit with 4 bolts at base of stick). edit: The 'upward facing' lug of the plate should be on the right hand side of the stick (not visible in pic). If the lifter is damaged or sticking up, you may be able to free it in situ, but if the stick needs to come out then access from under is reqd to disconnect one bolt to the selector shaft.
