n boost
I just got sent a cheque for 25% of the value of my postage for a late delivery in compensation from these jokers and when i rang up was told that this is in their terms and conditions! I had a £150 compensation cover and this did not make any difference as i was told u can only claim max 25% the scamming b4stards!!!!! So people be careful what u send with these pri*ks and also full of attitude the ugly morons!:mad::mad::mad: p.s.........BTW Jonathon i spoke too, if your reading this you are a low life, sad excuse for a pr*ck and hope we never cross paths!!! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_angry.gif /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_angry.gif /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_angry.gif
jamesmark
I was always under the impression the compensation cover was for loss or damage only? I would never expect full compensation for something that arrived late, only the amount it cost me to send it. (Different if the lateness caused great financial loss)
tbourner
You got given nearly £40 for something arriving late? Sounds good to me!
SteveR
Looks likes they're right, if you bought the slower delivery: http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/content1?catId=25800695&mediaId=25900662 Service name || Price from || Refund if delivered 1 or more days late Parcelforce 48 || £12.99 || 25%
n boost
No lads, basically my postage for this item came to £11 which is a minute amount but obviously it was delivered late so i was entitled to a refund and got sent a cheque for £2.75! I made a claim in dec last year for late delivery and got my full amount (after 7 weeks!) and now the guy said that they always have paid only 25%? 48 hr serviced as advertised as gauranteed within 48 hrs so effectively they can now deliver parcels late and pay compensation and still be making a profit........morons! I am a believe that u should always make a claim form these companies regardless on the amount as it is the only way which will effect them like it has u, otherwise there service can remain poor without them even thinking about it. n boost
Forgot to metion that on my last claim i sent them a completed form through recorded delivery and they still denied ever recieving it even though on the tracking site it was delivered wth a signature! Took nearly 2 months sorting it out but that was for a bigger amount and funny how this is only £2.75 and i recieved this cheque in 3 days! Bunch of muppets if u ask me and will deffo be spending my money elsewhere.

n boost
Is that for business/account holders?..............maybe they get priorty ver post office cutomers.
Chris Wilson
Yes, the company has an account of course. How much that sways the driver at the end of the chain I don't know. Very little I suspect though.
mkirby
Is that for business/account holders?..............maybe they get priorty ver post office cutomers. trust me no one gets any priority, the only way anyone can get a better service is if you send enough parcels to have a direct trailer which is about 5-700 parcels a day other than that all parcels are collected by the vans and loaded onto the trailer at your local depot, once its full it then goes to coventry to the national hub where it goes on the conveyor system and then loaded into the delivery depots trailer and onto the delivery depot. I have not worked for parcelforce for a few years but when i did the delivery rate was at about 98% so chris's figures are spot on. Matt H
I'd expect a full refund too if they "gaurantee" delivery in 48 hours. What's the point in having a gaurantee if they can just delivery it late and only face a 25% refund. They musn't be that confident in their services if that's the contract. bigbloodyturbo
Parcel farce have always been pr!cks and I try an avoid them if I can but sometimes you have to use them. I 've had more parcels damaged or roughly handled by PF than any other courier we use. I also had problems with their 24hr delivery (cant remember if it was the before 10am one) and when you phone up they don't want to know, they never call you back and in the end you have to remind yourself that the £10 you might get back isn't worth the time and effort you put in chasing the lazy sods. An now it appears you'll only get 25% off that:rolleyes:
Pete
They're all as bad as each other in my experience... a bit like politicians.
dr_jekyll
try uk mail , they destroyed 2 doors i posted , literally destroyed . as in run over with a van at the depo, in formed me of the carnage before they even got tot he costomer, then told me they would pay up because my pakaging wasnt strong enuouf. i new i should have used those boxes that can hold upto 3 tonne vans, and to top it off , they still had the nerve to send me the £50 bill for the collection. so anybody thinking of trusting uk mail , or buisness post as ther also known , i wouldnt reccomend it
JohnHandy
Parcelforce striped me up on customs charges my item value was about £29......... Our beloved HM Revenue & Customs charged me £7.21 import tax....... Then the parcelforce bandits striped me up for an £8 handeling charge. So i payed about 45% in charges!
