RobSheffield Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 Is it common for these to malfunction? Mine is showing as 'low' by the light in the cluster, but dipping the oil shows plenty in. RobSheffield Posted June 28, 2009 Author Share Posted June 28, 2009 Dash has been off and back on more times than i remember There was dry solder, fixed it about 2 years back. The dipstick appears to show its at the full mark (not sure if its oil tracking up the dip tube though) so just put the smallest amount of oil in (so as not to potentially overfill) and its gone off. JODY T Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 Ive just got my engine running and this light has come on also.. It comes on after about a minute after start up.. I initiall had abit too much oil in there so i drained it out and its reading on the top level now but it still comes on.. never had the problem with the other engine so im assuming its the sensor or something else not the dash cluster. The engine management light is on for some reason so it might be something to do with it.. dunno untill i can read the codes..
