H.I.Ds - WOW

The purple tint off range rovers (and bm's and merc's) comes from the lens not the lamp. OE for nearly all standard fitment HID's are 4300 as thats the most efficient heat and you get more lumens of light out than at any other kelvin. If you want the twinkly purple effect and still put out a decent amount of light at 35w then you have to retrofit OE projectors from something that had them as standard.

And glass transmitts more light than plastic does, so glass lights are better:p

I agree its one of the best upgrades you can do. I went for the 4300k colour, but thats personal preference. I only converted the diped beams and found that I rarely need to use main beam now as the dips are so good, so probably wont bother upgrading them.

Well done for catching up with the rest of us Matt, even if K-R had to help you fit the "dead easy to install" HIDs ;)

My previous Supe had 6000K HIDs which had a teeny bit of blue about them, current one has 4000K which is as pure white as you can get. Little difference from the driver's PoV when driving at night.

Next week in "MattH Discovers..." he'll be singing the praises of The Carbon Fibre Bonnet and rear windscreen wiper removal opportunities...

..and of course how easy they are for some else to install/remove

Why do the prices in HIDs vary so much

Knight Racer -- 70 pound

and the Bellof are 1100 pound

Is it just the Brand Name you are paying for?

My car came in wiith the Bellof but in comparison to the cheaper versions I cant see a difference

and ebay £50.

The amount of factories knocking this stuff out in China is extraordinary.

Indeed, $20 a set or less in bulk, lots of money to be made from these even if you account for replacing a few sets over a 12 month period.

Yes - I've just started looking into the Dropshipping thing regarding these aswell.

"Matt H discovers..." I would regularly tune-in for such progammes! Only the pre-watershed versions though, of course. :help: I don't want to know about any mucky stuff: I'm 'Daz'-white, I am.

What you can remove the rear wipers?!?! :D

Thanks LBM & Matt, ordering a set now! I would rather pay an extra tenner if KR is doing it at this good price. I brought my FTO ones for £60 and they are Kingwoods from club seller which were brilliant!

Likewise :)

There is a full 2 YEAR FULL WARRANTY which we cover ourselves!

We also offer a FULL money back guarantee if you are unhappy with the product![/Quote]

And they're based in Kent... no brainer really. They beat KR's price and warranty.

I don't think they'll fit them though! :taped:
