hi guys, i have a greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller, i have installed it to my mkiv tt supra and it starts up fine and i can setup the settings how i want but i just cant boost beyond oem boost level.

i think i might have hooked up the vacuum lines incorrectly.

i have used some references from some older posts but i am having no luck.

any step by step details would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

lee

p.s. mods on car are FCD, front mount, exhaust, downpipe and plugs. 6 speed manual TT mkiv.

check your vacuum to the boost controller and did you T into the actuator lines? i'm guessin so.

and again i had this issue when i first installed my boost controller and it drove me insane. changed my spark plugs and bam straight up. don't know why but with fouled plugs it wouldnt boost over stock.

few things to check :)

ok guys, i am still struggling to sort this out.

i used the installation details from mkiv.com using the front actuator to control boost.

i also found an old post from back in 2004 and that wasnt that useful cos its wasnt very clear on the description applied on the thread, it was very vague.

but still no luck.

i was under the impression that the rear actuator and front actuator need to be T'd to the ebc solanoid valve? but other installion threads dont even look at the rear actuator on the 2nd turbo? they all concentrate on the front actuator?

again, any installation help or step by step guide someone might have or some links would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

mate i have the same boost controller

dont worry bout the rear actuator, all you need to do is the front one, tee off into the solenoid and ensure that the solenoid is set-up for actuator and not wastegate (the difference is to do with external gate and internal actuator style) you'll want COM and NO not COM and NC. You'll need to connect vacuum hoses from the Actuator to 'COM' then from 'NC' to the front of the turbo. once its working properly you'll hear the actuator ticking and bleeding boost to get beyond the stock levels.
