adrianstokes Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 The castings are slightly different, the NA blocks are slightly lighter (must have less material) - though it is true that some of the drag racers in the US prefer to use the NA blocks without the squirters. I believe it increases oil pressure? If an NA block is any good to you Paul I've got a good one here that I can drop off when I collect the other bits? Hmm sure ive seen a block that had little blanking plugs installed, wonder what that was for???. Do any of the aftermarket pistons use the oil squirters??? Do any of the aftermarket pistons use the oil squirters??? I so far as any piston will gain additional crown cooling from having the underside jetted with cooler oil, yes. In so far as do any forged pistons use a cooling gallery within the crown, like the stock cast pistons, no. The only forged cooling gallery pistons I've seen are the Tomei ones. "Hi Mark, Only our RB26 has the option of selecting the cooling channel pistons design (we have 2 types available for the RB26DETT). The 2JZ is without the cooling channel.
