MRX Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 SOLD Hi all Unfortunately due to being made redundant on Friday I have to sell the supra. 93 Twin Turbo Auto Envy RSR stainless exhaust Blitz SUS induction Blitz Dump Valve Greddy Boost guage Facelift cloth seats – mint condition Sony MP3 Headunit Pheonix gold speakers Clifford Alarm system Engine bay clean and tidy Blistein shocks 2nd Decat pipe Re-furbed starter Rear lights clear indicator conversion I will supply most of the original parts that were replaced by mods e.g air box. clock, dump valve, spare wheel and the rear spoiler. MOT’d February – Passed first time with 3 advisory’s (rear wiper blade, no spare wheel, can’t remember 3rd off top of my head) Taxed till end of Sept Bad points Mileage 166,000 on the clock – The guy I brought it from told me it was imported at around 110,000 which puts the mileage at around 120k but I cannot confirm this. Paint job – on general inspection the paint job looks ok but the inner seals were not done. I believe one of the VSV’s that control the second turbo has begun to start sticking. Probably 1 in 10 times you put your foot to the floor the second turbo doesn’t come on line. A quick release of the accelerator and back down and it comes in fine. I will supply a full set of VSV’s I purchased form ‘Heckler’ on this forum, the problem has been so rare its not been something that I have gotten round to doing. The upper glove box has some red paint marks on the inside. The tyres aren’t the best – when the second turbo kicks in and the ground is wet it can get a bit loose. There is a scuff mark on one of the rear arches – this may just buff out Polystyrene in boot missing some bits Aircon needs re-gassing No paper work – I cant find the bits the last owner gave me as I have moved house a couple of times since purchasing it. The last owner lived on the Isle of Wight and I believe he had it since it was imported so it never really went too far. Apparently the owner went through a mid life crisis, hence painting it red with the white stripes. He then gave it too his son who never really used it and I brought it off the son. I had it serviced when I brought it 15 months ago so it’s now due another. I have been using the car as a daily driver for over a year and apart from the starter motor needing a refurb I have had no problems with it. Surely some matching red vinyl graphics would be a cheap way of changing the look of the car to persuade someone its worth buying even if they needed to paint the stripes in.
